Success at Rail Infrastructure Networking London 2024

March, 2024

The Rail Infrastructure Networking Event held in London was not just a gathering of rail industry players; it was a convergence of vision, opportunity, and collaboration. With 134 rail exhibitors, 1298 visitors, and 798 rail companies represented, it was a busy morning and testament to the vibrancy of the rail sector.

Amidst the bustling atmosphere and the aroma of freshly brewed tea and coffee, we had the chance to engage in discussions, share our experiences during our recently delivered rail projects, forge new connections, and deepen existing relationships. The event was not merely about showcasing products and services; it was about sharing insights, understanding market trends, and exploring opportunities for growth and innovation.

One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to participate in ‘Meet the Buyer’ meetings. With 94 meetings attended, exhibitors had the chance to pitch their offerings directly to potential clients, paving the way for future collaborations and partnerships.

Moreover, the event provided a unique platform to gain insights into Network Rail’s Strategic Business Plan (SBP) for England and Wales, as well as its SBP for Scotland’s Railway. These plans outline the roadmap for delivering the best railway infrastructure while optimizing available funding. They encompass crucial aspects such as operations, maintenance, and renewals, reflecting years of meticulous planning and collaboration across regions and functions.

The government’s commitment to invest over £45 billion in the operation, maintenance, and renewal of the railway in England, Wales, and Scotland over the next five years underscores the significance of the industry. It serves as a clear vote of confidence, signalling opportunities for growth, innovation, and sustainability.

For exhibitors, the event was not just about showcasing products and services; it was about seizing opportunities, building networks, and contributing to the advancement of the rail sector, and play a role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure.

We look forward to the next event in Derby!
