CECA Wales Awards 2021

CECA Wales Awards 2021

The CECA Wales Annual Awards 2021 took place on Friday night at the Cardiff Hilton. And what a great evening. The 2020 Awards took place last year via social media as a result of the pandemic. But this year, we were able to meet in person at the Annual Dinner and celebrate last year’s winners, and the 2021 winners were announced.

Last year we congratulated our diving apprentice Joel Gillett when he was awarded winner of the Most Promising Trade Apprentice 2020. This year, our company was shortlisted for two categories.

We had two nominees in our Graduate Engineer; Charley Hawkins, who was up for Most Promising Trainee Civil Engineer, and Caspar Farquhar, nominated for Most Promising Trade Apprentice.

The shortlists are a valuable validation of our efforts as a business. When part of the application process saw us answering questions like “how we have improved our business through staff training and development” and “how we ensure high service standards,” it really highlighted to us how much we have progressed and improved over the years.

We have developed and expanded to help better serve our clients, adapting our skills and business as quickly as possible to the ever-changing market and, more recently, changing restrictions.

Our team is the driving force behind our success. With a valuable set of achievable goals, we know we can fulfill our company vision to “Be the number one choice for clients looking to engage with a specialist marine civil engineering contractor.”

There was intense competition from talented candidates from Jones Bros, Alun Griffiths, Walters, and Knights Brown. Despite this, Caspar came away with a highly commended award! Congratulations Caspar!
