Kaymac Salvage a piece of history

Kaymac Salvage a piece of history

Kaymac has lent its services to the Sunderland trust team in Pembroke Dock. The only Mark 1 Sunderland Flying boat left in the world sank off Pembroke during a storm in 1940. In wartime, Pembroke Dock was the largest flying boat station in the world.

The team at the trust are dedicated to salvaging the huge aircraft and displaying memorabilia in the Flying Boat Centre in the Dock. Kaymac put one of its dive teams on the wreck recently to survey and, as a result, they managed to free and bring up one of the engines.
