Client: City and County of Swansea.

Location: Swansea Marina.

Description of work: Dredge 300m3 from Marina to create another berth for 80 vessels. The dock had already been filled with reinforced concrete, blockstones, mass concrete and building rubble. This was all excavated to create a new minimum depth of two and a half metres above lock cill.

To cut down on any surface material migrating from the dredging areas we used a silt curtain to contain and dust and debris from affecting pleasure craft or the marina walls. During this contract, carried out in a densely populated area, we considered the local residents and pleasure craft owners and not one complaint was received throughout the entire duration of this project.
