Client: MacAlpine’s/ Carillion Rail.

Location: River Leri, Borth, Aberystwyth. Repairs and replacement of timbers, piers and bracings on Railway Bridge in tidal estuary.

Description of work: With limited railway possession, dismantle and replace timber piles and cross bracings. The possession was for a nine day period and Kaymac’s teams worked day and night to meet target. The work was completed ahead of schedule and within budget. The project was extensively pre planned, crane platforms were put in place on both sides of the structure and all piles and other timbers were prepared.
